Physician education: Funding opportunity for US-based fellows

As part of our ongoing commitment to physician education, the Spinal CSF Leak Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of funding for US-based fellows who wish to attend the 2023 Intracranial Hypotension Conference, which will take place on July 8-9, 2023 in Kohala Coast, Hawaii.

The Foundation is committed to supporting physician education related to spinal cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks. As such, we are offering funding to cover travel, meals, accommodations, and course registration up to $3,000 for one selected applicant to attend the conference. This funding opportunity is open to fellows of any specialty, including but not limited to headache medicine.

The conference presents a fantastic opportunity for physicians in training to learn about spinal CSF leak from international experts sharing the latest advances in the diagnostic evaluation and treatment of this under-diagnosed, disabling but treatable secondary headache disorder. The topics to be covered include clinical presentations, differential diagnoses, complications, cranial and spinal imaging, percutaneous interventions, and surgical approaches. In addition, there will be presentations on the anatomy of spontaneous leak types, tailored imaging and treatment approaches, iatrogenic leaks, and related disorders, along with interactive discussions about diagnostic and treatment challenges, and opportunities for collaborative research.

May 23, 2023 update: The deadline for applications has now passed. Thank you for your interest!
