October 15-21 is Invisible Disabilities Week
Spinal cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak is a debilitating, disabling condition that isn’t always visible from the outside—or even sometimes from the inside, despite sophisticated medical imaging.
It can be challenging to communicate to others the ways in which spinal CSF leak affects people neurologically, physically, and emotionally. The head pain that so often accompanies spinal CSF leak is more than just a headache, and there are many other symptoms that people living with a leak have to navigate.
The work we do at the Spinal CSF Leak Foundation to raise awareness through education and furthering research is fueled by compassion for all those affected by this debilitating disorder.
Invisible illness or not, we see you.
